Visions

A vision is something seen in a dream, trance, or religious ecstasy, especially a supernatural appearance that usually conveys a revelation.[1] Visions generally have more clarity than dreams, but traditionally fewer psychological connotations. Visions are known to emerge from spiritual traditions and could provide a lens into human nature and reality.[2] Prophecy is often associated with visions.

The stage includes a 36-foot-wide, oval-shaped disc that tilts up to display images projected onto the floor. The new Designing Our Future show playing in the theater immerses visitors in underwater realms, stunning landscapes, and visions of the future. The show is enhanced with multisensory effects, including seat rumblers, strobe light effects, fog, wind, and scents.

Starting May 24, people who purchase Aquarium admission tickets will be asked to select an Aquarium entry time and a time to view the Pacific Visions film. Entry to Pacific Visions is included with Aquarium admission. Tickets may be purchased online or at the Aquarium box office. Visit pacificvisions.org to learn more about Pacific Visions.

You may request a change to your Visions group assignment by emailing visions@vanderbilt.edu for the following reasons: enrolling for a new course, requesting more time between classes for travel, adjustments due to time zone, or admittance to a selective performance group through the Blair School of Music. Change requests for non-academic reasons will only be accepted up until July 20, 2022. From that point forward, changes will only be made for academic reasons. Please note: Visions groups only meet on Mondays and Tuesdays. 041b061a72
